Review of The Revelation Bring back Imo is in the hands of God
The Presiding Bishop of New Life Evangelical Church, Dr. Blaise C. Iwuogo, who rightly predicted that Donald Trump would win the last U.S. Presidential election in his detailed message, “Blow the trumpet, declare it, Donald Trump is President, vote Trump for President,” has yet come up with a conscience pricking prophetic word of counsel to the people of Imo State, Nigeria. In his recently released book titled, “The Revelation Bring back Imo is in the hands of God,” Bishop Blaise narrates his conversations with God spanning over a period of six months, concerning Imo State, the people and their leadership struggle.
The author reveals in details that God is pleased with the former governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim who dedicated Imo State to God upon his inauguration as governor in 2007, and came up with the slogan, IMO IS IN THE HANDS OF GOD.
Citing the word of God in many instances, Bishop Blaise says that in the revelation he received from the Holy Spirit, God is not happy with the manner and style the people of Imo State wrongfully joined hands and removed the former governor from office, inasmuch as such removal was based on lies and propaganda, among which was the unsubstantiated story that the then governor had beaten a Catholic priest, an allegation that has now been uncovered as a mere hoax aimed at turning the people of Imo State against the former governor. The resultant effect of Ohakim’s removal from office as revealed in Bishop Blaise’s book was the taking down of the sign, “IMO IS IN THE HANDS OF GOD” which was visibly posted at various strategic locations all over Imo State. This, said the cleric, was the beginning of the prevailing challenges in the State.
Moreover, Bishop Blaise states in his book that God revealed to him that He, God is a fighter for the oppressed. That if He (God) had given a man keke, and the people joined hands and took the keke from him wrongfully, He would fight for the keke owner until justice prevailed. How much more would He fight for His servant whom He ordained as governor.
Very interesting about this book is that it is coming from a cleric who has previously released several prophecies that came to pass. Recall that in his numerous publications from 2008 until 2011, Dr. Blaise consistently urged the people of Imo State to support the former governor. Back then, he authored the prophetic book, True Christians Should Support Governor Ikedi Ohakim. The Bishop stressed then in no uncertain terms that Imo State was going through spiritual warfare and that those who would come out to claim that they would save the people should be considered as false prophets and should not be heeded to. This warning was published way before anybody formally declared interest for Imo Guber 2011. The people are reminded about this truth in the author’s new book.
Admirably, The Revelation Bring back Imo is in the hands of God discusses the issue of zoning. The author writes, “We talk about zoning. We talk about equity. We talk about fairness. We say we want justice. Yet, we deal wickedly with our own flesh. We conspire to strip a man of a position bestowed on him by God, then we turn around to require good of God. Mbanu! Know ye not, child of God that evil cannot beget good. Be not deceived, says the Holy Spirit, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap (Galatians 6:7).
Bishop Blaise reminds the people of the scripture, “Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34). He urges the people of Imo State to repent from their sin and go back to God in accordance with the words contained in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” This healing of the land, says the Bishop will result into peace and progress while putting a stop to more calamities in Imo State.
The Revelation repeatedly quotes God as saying, “Bring back Imo is in the hands of God. Bring back Ikedi Ohakim. He is my servant.” The book is concluded with the words, “He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit is saying,” as it is contained in Revelation 2:29.
