Number of aspirants interested in representing the Orlu/Orsu/Oru-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly has been daily increasing in recent days with Nze Elvis Agukwe; a one time Imo Commissioner for Information and Strategies joining the race.

Agukwe is from Okwabala-Ihioma in Orlu Local Government Area of the state who has remained a vocal voice and strategic player in the Imo politics since the return of the present democracy.

When contacted by, Agukwe confirmed the information.

“Yes it’s true that I have sought for and obtained the consensus of my constituents  to represent them in the green chambers come 2019”, he responded.

He explained that he is not seeking the  office because he considers self best or better than all those that have been there before, “but I believe that it’s time for me to actualize my passion to serve our people based on my conviction that they deserve the best in terms of quality and effective representation.

“You will bear me witness that I have made invaluable contributions towards the enthronement of our leaders in orlu, Imo State and beyond since 1999 till date. I have also been instrumental to the stabilization of the polity through peaceful resolution of conflicts and fashioning of political templates and road maps to the attainment of the democracy we deserve”, he added.

He called for supports of all to actualize his dream.

“My Compatriots and allies, I seek your support in all ramifications as I seek this office which I consider an obligation to serve our people and country faithfully and dutifully  .

“As you can confirm, I have the pedigree, the educational  qualifications, the mental alertness  , the network and above all the presence of mind to be the member representing Orlu, Orsu, Orsu East federal Constituency in the House of Reps come 2019 .

“While leveraging on your anticipated support in this journey, may I humbly request you as a major stakeholder to assist in spreading this gospel of quality and effective representation which I bring to our people”, Agukwe appealed.
